Unlock breeding and check eligibility
Complete your first Season Race to unlock breeding; Practice and Local Races do not count. Each parent must be 3–12 years old, healthy, and have at least 60 Energy.
Pick a sire and a dam
Select eligible horses from your stable or use an available rental from the breeding pool. Rentals add to the cost. The breeding preview confirms whether the pairing can proceed.
If a parent belongs to your stable, breeding uses that horse's daily action. Do not plan training or a race for the same horse on the same day.
Read the preview before you breed
The preview shows the fee, any rental cost, success chance, compatibility, foal outlook, and expected delivery date. Review it before confirming the charge.

Success chance is not fixed
The base breeding chance is adjusted by parent age, Energy, bloodline compatibility, matching preferences, family relationship, and an active Breeding Barn. The final chance is kept between 25% and 75%.
Age and Energy are part of the success calculation, so review the displayed chance for each new pairing.
Close family relationships matter
Parent-and-child pairings and full siblings are blocked. Half-siblings, grandparent pairings, and other close relationships are allowed only where the game rules allow them, but they can reduce the chance of success.
Use the pedigree to check close relations before choosing a pairing.
The Eight Founding Bloodlines
TRM's pedigrees trace back to eight founding lines:
- Iron Crown
- Silver Reed
- Ember Veil
- Mist Harbor
- Royal Fern
- Cinder Lane
- Stone Orchid
- Golden Rail
Later generations inherit those lines. Your decisions about pairings, racing, and which descendants to keep determine how each family develops.
What the foal gets from the parents
The foal inherits information from both parents, with variation in potential and traits. The breeding preview is an estimate, not an exact prediction.
Surface preference, distance preference, archetype, personality, coat, DNA, and family information also come from the pairing. The game stores a DNA strand for every horse so later generations can carry a real family history instead of being disconnected random horses.
Potential is not current ability
Current stats describe present ability; potential describes room to develop. A yearling with low current stats may still have strong potential.
For a breeding decision, compare the pedigree, inherited preferences, and estimated potential alongside the parents' current ratings.
What happens after a successful attempt
A successful breeding creates a pending foal scheduled to arrive 10 days later.
If your normal stable is full, a Foaling Barn can provide temporary overflow stalls for bred foals. If there is still no room, delivery waits until a slot is available.
The delivered horse starts at age 1 and uses the yearling portrait for its coat. It cannot train or race until age 2.
Breeding costs
The fee and any rental cost are charged for the attempt, even if it fails. Check your cash balance and upcoming race costs first.

- Make sure breeding is unlocked.
- Choose healthy eligible parents with at least 60 Energy.
- Check the pedigree for close relationships.
- Compare compatibility, potential, surface, and distance.
- Check the success chance and total cost.
- Make sure owned parents are free for the day.
- Keep a stable slot open for the foal.
