Breeding preview

Check the pairing before breeding

Choose horses from your stable or use available rentals. The breeding preview shows the success chance, expected foal quality, arrival time, compatibility rating, and total cost.

Success chance

The chance that the breeding attempt succeeds, based on parent age, Energy, compatibility, preferences, and relationships.

Foal outlook

A general estimate of expected foal potential based on both parents.

Total cost

The breeding fee plus any rental costs. The fee is charged whether the attempt succeeds or fails.

Paternal line

Bloodline comes from the sire

The sire passes his Bloodline to the foal. Bloodlines help define the family line and affect pairing compatibility with dams.

Use a stallion from your own stable or rent one from another player’s stable.

Maternal line

Heritage comes from the dam

The dam passes her Heritage to the foal. TRM compares the dam's Heritage with the sire's Bloodline to rate compatibility from Poor to Excellent.

Higher compatibility improves success chances and potential, but parent health, Energy, and age also matter.

Breeding questions

Frequently asked questions

Does TRM simulate real-world genetics?

No. TRM uses a strategic game system designed for fun and gameplay, not real-world genetics.

Can I rent both parents?

Yes. If you don't own eligible horses, you can rent a sire, a dam, or both.

Is breeding always successful?

No. Every pairing has a success chance between 25% and 75%. The breeding fee is charged regardless of outcome.

What does a foal inherit?

The foal receives its Bloodline from the sire and Heritage from the dam. Its abilities, preferences, personality, color, and traits come from both parents with some natural variation.
